Collected from the pine forest of Selakano, 35km northwest of Ierapetra. Selakano is one of the most beautiful and important ecosystems of the island, included in the Natura 2000.
It constitutes 65% of the total honey production in Greece.
It has a mild sweet taste and dense body, due to the low concentration of sugars.
It has antioxidant properties and a high content of trace elements such as Calcium and Magnesium, making it a product with great nutritional value.
Intense & unique.
Typical red - brown. The variety produced in spring is lighter and clearer than the one produced in autumn.
As its natural glucose content is low, pine honey enters the crystallization process after 1.5 years.
